Girls on the Run Mid State PA

Girls on the Run Mid State PA is a nonprofit organization based in Enola, Pennsylvania. With a team of four employees, they are dedicated to empowering girls through physical activity and positive social-emotional development. This 501(c)3 organization provides afterschool and summer programs for girls in grades 3 through 8. Their evidence-based curricula focus on building healthy habits, fostering positive relationships, and cultivating confidence in girls. Through trained volunteer coaches, Girls on the Run delivers engaging lessons that incorporate social-emotional learning (SEL) principles. Activities range from dynamic discussions on age-appropriate topics to running games and physical exercises, all designed to help girls thrive. Girls on the Run Mid State PA offers programs at schools and community sites across Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, Lebanon, Adams, and Franklin Counties. Each program culminates in a 5K running event, bringing together families to celebrate the girls' achievements. During the summer, they offer Camp GOTR, a week-long camp experience with both half and full-day options, including lunch and career-focused field trips.
