GiGis Playhouse San Diego

GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego is a non-profit organization located in San Diego, California. This is the first Playhouse in the state, and one of 37 community Playhouses around the world. The Playhouse is part of a nationwide network of Down syndrome achievement centers. It is volunteer-led and dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages with Down syndrome, their families, and communities. GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego offers a range of free programs designed to unleash joy, confidence, and continuous improvement in individuals with Down syndrome. These programs are tailored to meet the needs of individuals of all ages and provide support to their families. The Playhouse is a place for families to celebrate their child and benefit from a supportive environment that encourages personal growth and achievement. GiGi’s Playhouse was founded by Nancy Gianni in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and has since expanded globally with locations in Mexico. Last year, over 26,000 individuals with Down syndrome benefited from programs and support at the various Playhouses.
