Georgia Municipal Association

The Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) is a non-profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1933, GMA is the sole state-level entity dedicated to representing municipal governments within Georgia. Today, GMA boasts a membership of 527 municipal governments, encompassing over 99% of the state's municipal population. GMA offers a wide range of services designed to empower city officials and enhance municipal operations. These services include training programs to equip city officials with the skills needed to address complex issues, advocacy at both the state and federal levels, and employee benefits programs to attract and retain top talent. GMA also provides practical support services such as audits, meeting management, franchise fee negotiations, IT solutions, and debt collection assistance.
