George Washingtons Mount Vernon

George Washington’s Mount Vernon is a privately owned historic home located in Mount Vernon, Virginia. Established in 1860, it is operated by the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association and has welcomed over 85 million visitors, making it the most popular historic home in the United States. The estate offers a variety of experiences for visitors, including tours of the mansion, museum, gardens, a working farm, a gristmill, and a distillery. Mount Vernon also features robust education and outreach programs designed to share the life and character of George Washington with the public.
