GenUnity

GenUnity is a non-profit organization based in Boston, Massachusetts. The organization employs 18 people and generates annual revenue of $2.5 million. GenUnity focuses on bringing together residents from diverse backgrounds to tackle local issues. Through their issue-focused community leadership programs, GenUnity convenes groups of up to 50 residents who participate in 10-week programs, meeting for 3 hours per week. These programs facilitate understanding of local issues, connecting lived experiences with the systems and structures that influence them. Participants develop leadership skills, including active listening, systems thinking, and action planning. Upon program completion, members join GenUnity’s Lifetime Community of Practice, fostering ongoing peer-to-peer connections and collaborative action on their identified issues. GenUnity's community works to translate passion and knowledge into tangible civic action, influencing policy changes and driving positive change in their communities.
