Gateway Greening

Gateway Greening is a non-profit organization based in St. Louis, Missouri. With 26 employees, the organization is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through gardening and urban agriculture. Gateway Greening offers a variety of programs designed to engage people of all ages and backgrounds. These include Youth & School Gardens, which integrate gardening and healthy eating lessons into the classroom experience. They also support over 200 community gardens throughout St. Louis City and County through workshops, tool rentals, and resource distribution. Additionally, Gateway Greening partners with The Giving Grove of Kansas City to integrate community orchards into their existing garden development program. Beyond supporting existing gardens, Gateway Greening provides educational opportunities for both the community and professionals. Weekend workshops cater to backyard and community gardeners, while the Youth Garden Leader Professional Development series offers Continuing Education credits for educators interested in incorporating outdoor learning experiences.
