Gateway Arts

Gateway Arts is a studio art center based in Brookline, Massachusetts. The organization employs 17 people and generates $13.4 million in annual revenue. Gateway Arts provides individualized arts-based services to adults with disabilities, empowering them to build meaningful lives and pursue professional careers in art. They serve over 100 talented individuals in the Greater Boston area. Artists at Gateway Arts work across a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, sculpture, fabric arts, woven pieces, and clothing/accessories. A key aspect of Gateway Arts' mission is integration into the mainstream arts community. Artists receive a 50% commission on works sold, in addition to representation in the Gateway Gallery, Gateway Crafts Store, and on their website. Gateway Arts is recognized as a prominent player in the Outsider Art movement, with works by their artists showcased and sold nationally and internationally.
