Gardopia Gardens

Gardopia Gardens is a non-profit organization located in San Antonio, Texas, with a staff of 5 to 9 employees. Founded in 2015, the organization focuses on addressing health disparities within the at-risk multi-cultural community on the near Eastside. Gardopia Gardens works to empower community members by providing access to fresh, homegrown food grown on an abandoned lot at 619 N. New Braunfels. They initially implemented crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) as a methodology for crime reduction, in partnership with the San Antonio Housing Authority (SAHA).
