Futures

Futures is a non-profit organization based in West Hartford, Connecticut, employing 15 people. The organization focuses on providing customized programs and support services for individuals with disabilities. Futures offers a range of services, including employment opportunities at their social enterprises, educational support, mentoring, transition planning, job training and placement, independent living assistance, and recreation and community volunteerism. Their Adult Services division provides personalized support, and Futures School, Connecticut’s first community-based education school, serves students aged 14-21 with challenging behavioral disorders and other cognitive or developmental disabilities. Two of their social enterprises are Good Cause Gifts, a retail store with unique gifts, home goods, and clothing for women and children, and The Kitchen at Futures Inc., which provides competitive employment and life skills training.
