Founded 20 years ago, Fresh Arts is dedicated to empowering artists by providing them with opportunities to enhance their skills, access valuable resources, and build connections within their communities. Fresh Arts offers a range of programs and initiatives designed to support artists across all disciplines. These include fiscal sponsorship for 20 artist-led projects, an Artist Opportunity Board, an Artist Resource Library, Toolkits, and a podcast, providing a wealth of information and support. They also offer career development and mentorship through workshops, panel conversations, and an 8-week Artist INC seminar. Furthermore, Fresh Arts supports innovative project development through the Space Taking Artist Residency and manages Arts District Houston, a state-recognized cultural district.
