Franciscan Courts

Franciscan Courts is a retirement community located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This organization, home to 40 Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother, employs 20-49 individuals. Franciscan Courts was built in 1989 and remodeled in 2002 to provide a nurturing, sacred, and aesthetically pleasing environment. The facility offers a variety of housing options, including 20 skilled nursing units, 20 assisted living units, 6 independent living units, and 8 guest suites. These suites are organized into five distinct neighborhoods, or "Courts," each with 6 to 16 Sisters. Franciscan Courts also features common areas such as a coffee bistro, reflection pool, fireplace lounges, activity kitchens, and a dining hall, designed to foster community and social interaction. The campus is designed around Franciscan values of peace, simplicity, unity, and a sense of the sacred. Visitors often describe experiencing a feeling of awe, inspiration, and tranquility.
