FOOD for Lane County

FOOD For Lane County, established in 1984, is a private, nonprofit organization based in Eugene, Oregon. With 60 employees and a volunteer Board of Directors, the organization serves the community of Lane County, which includes both urban and rural areas. Their mission is to reduce hunger in the area by providing access to food and promoting long-term, community-based solutions. FOOD For Lane County works to accomplish this mission through a variety of means. They solicit, collect, grow, rescue, prepare, and package food for distribution. This food is then provided through a network of social service agencies and programs to a population base of 382,000 people.
