Florida Space Institute

The Florida Space Institute (FSI) is a research institute based in University, Florida. As an institute of the State University System of Florida, FSI has been dedicated to advancing space research, development, and education since 1996. FSI's research encompasses a wide range of space-related topics, from studying the Earth's upper atmosphere and the origins of planets to exploring asteroids and developing propulsion technologies for high-speed aerospace vehicles. Their work extends to diverse missions, including high-altitude rocket launches, suborbital flights, the NASA Cassini mission to Saturn, and NASA's Explorer program. FSI administratively manages the Florida Space Grant Consortium (FSGC) for NASA and operates the Space Research Initiative (SRI) for the State of Florida.
