FAST

FAST, short for Fashion and Student Trends, is a student-run organization based in Los Angeles, California. As UCLA’s premier fashion organization, FAST provides a platform for undergraduates, graduate students, and extension students to explore their creativity and passion for the fashion industry. Since its founding in 2001, FAST has grown to employ 89 individuals. FAST offers a wide range of fashion-focused experiences, encompassing everything from garment design and modeling to event planning, public relations, marketing, and styling. The organization's renowned annual runway show, held in Pauley Pavilion, showcases the work of over 20 student designers and features the talents of more than 200 members. In addition to the runway show, FAST hosts workshops, personal styling sessions, career-building events, and guest panels with industry professionals. Through its journalism department, FAST publishes a website that features weekly blog articles on various fashion-related topics, including global beauty standards, television's influence on runway trends, and the latest seasonal styles. These articles often include exclusive editorial photography that showcases the diverse creative visions of its members. FAST maintains a strong alumni network to connect former members with current students.
