FARE

FARE, headquartered in McLean, Virginia, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals living with food allergies. Founded in 2012, FARE emerged from the merger of the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network and the Food Allergy Initiative. FARE provides evidence-based education and resources, advocates for policy changes at various government levels, raises awareness about the seriousness of food allergies, and invests in research to advance treatment and understanding of the disease. Their efforts aim to improve the quality of life, health, and provide hope for individuals with food allergies, particularly those facing the risk of life-threatening anaphylaxis. FARE's mission is driven by the understanding that food allergies affect millions of Americans, including approximately 33 million individuals. Notably, 1 in every 13 children in the United States, or roughly 2 in every classroom, experiences food allergies.
