Experience Aviation

Experience Aviation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based at Opa-Locka Executive Airport in Opa-Locka, Florida. Founded in 2005 by Barrington Irving, the organization employs 9 people and generates $2.5 million in annual revenue. Experience Aviation's mission is to inspire youth to pursue their dreams through aviation-related programs. They offer a variety of programs designed to build essential skills in math, science, reading, and problem-solving. These include a 9-week after-school Discover Aviation course, a 10-week Build & Soar project, Inspiration Career Tours, and a career development/internship program. These programs are delivered at their 3,100-square-foot learning center, which they share with an airport hangar, and at community partner facilities. Experience Aviation is dedicated to addressing the shortage of technically skilled professionals in aviation, aerospace, and related fields.
