Ethiopia Reads

Ethiopia Reads is a non-profit organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Founded in 1998, the organization is dedicated to promoting literacy and a culture of reading in Ethiopia. With a staff of 51 employees, Ethiopia Reads has grown to serve over 130,000 children annually. Ethiopia Reads works directly with Ethiopian communities to establish libraries, train educators, and boost literacy rates. The organization has planted over 80 libraries across Ethiopia and developed a unique librarian and educator peer-mentoring and training program.
