ELCA Urban Outreach Center

The ELCA Outreach Center (OC) is a non-profit organization based in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The Center, which employs 5-9 people, has been serving the community since 1997. OC is a collaborative effort, partially funded through a shared revenue of $1 million, supported by eight ELCA Lutheran congregations and endorsed by the Greater Milwaukee Synod. The ELCA Outreach Center focuses on providing a range of programs and services to families and individuals in Kenosha's urban neighborhoods. The Center's mission is to share God’s love by addressing the needs of children, youth, and adults. Through these programs, the OC aims to empower individuals to become self-sufficient, caring, and active members of the community. The Center's work is rooted in a spiritual foundation, embodying the values and principles of the ELCA Lutheran tradition. In addition to support from the ELCA congregations, OC also receives backing from many other churches in Kenosha County.
