El Monte Union High School District

The El Monte Union High School District is a public school district based in El Monte, California. Established in 1901, the district serves over 8,000 students in grades 9 through 12 and a further 11,000 in adult education programs. The district employs 623 certificated employees and 625 classified employees. The El Monte Union High School District operates six comprehensive high schools: Arroyo, El Monte, Mountain View, Rosemead, South El Monte, and Fernando R. Ledesma High School. In addition, the district houses the El Monte‐Rosemead Adult School, recognized as one of the largest and most respected adult education programs in California.
