Educare DC

Educare DC is a non-profit organization located in Washington, District of Columbia, employing 22 individuals. Since its founding in 2012, Educare DC has grown to serve over 375 children and their families through two Educare DC centers and four partner sites in Wards 7 and 8. The organization's mission is to eliminate the opportunity gap for young children facing poverty. Educare DC provides high-quality early childhood education services to children from pre-natal through pre-k. Programs are offered at two centers and partner sites, delivering a comprehensive approach that includes full-day, full-year education, health, mental health, nutrition, and family engagement services. Educare DC distinguishes itself by operating as a Head Start program, leveraging a blend of federal funding, local pre-k and childcare subsidy funds, and private philanthropic support.
