Ecology in Classrooms and Outdoors (ECO) is a non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to providing hands-on ecology-based learning experiences for elementary school students. With a team of 10 employees, ECO strives to inspire a lifelong connection to the environment and empower young people to become responsible stewards of their communities. ECO offers a range of ecology programs designed to engage students both indoors and outdoors. Their mission is to foster observation, investigation, and environmental awareness through accessible science education. These programs are currently available to elementary schools within the Portland Public Schools, North Clackamas School District, Corbett School District, and select private schools in the area.
