ECDC Enterprise Development Group

ECDC Enterprise Development Group is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Arlington, Virginia. As a subsidiary of the Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC), EDG has been providing microenterprise development programs and services since 1992. With 23 employees, EDG focuses on supporting small businesses throughout the Washington, D.C./Baltimore area. EDG offers a range of financial products and services to clients, including small business loans. Their lending activities have demonstrated success, achieving a loan volume of $2 million in 2014, $2.1 million in 2015, and $2.5 million in 2016, with charge-offs consistently under 5%. The organization has received recognition for its impactful lending practices. EDG is a certified Community Development Financial Institution by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. EDG has consistently ranked among the top SBA Microlenders in the Metro DC area. They were ranked 8th nationally by the Office of Economic Opportunity in 2016 for dollars loaned and 20th nationally for number of loans.
