EastWest Food Rescue

EastWest Food Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Woodinville, Washington. Founded in May 2020, the organization employs three people and generates an annual revenue of $2.5 million. EastWest Food Rescue addresses food insecurity and waste by purchasing surplus food from farmers and other sources. They then distribute this rescued food to individuals and organizations experiencing food insecurity. The organization works with over 700 partner organizations across 19 states to ensure that fresh food reaches those in need. Acting as a vital link between farmers and those facing hunger, EastWest Food Rescue coordinates the entire process of food rescue. This includes identifying surplus food sources, arranging transportation, and delivering the rescued crops to partner organizations free of charge.
