Early Childhood Professional Learning

Early Childhood Professional Learning (ECPL) is a project of The Center: Resources for Teaching and Learning based in Arlington Heights, Illinois. With a team of 20 employees, ECPL focuses on providing free professional learning resources and opportunities for educators in the state-funded Preschool for All (PFA) and Preschool for All Expansion (PFAE) programs. Funded by the Illinois State Board of Education, Division of Early Childhood Development, ECPL strives to support the early childhood workforce through a variety of initiatives. ECPL offers workshops and webinars on research-based topics related to best practices in early childhood education. These learning opportunities are designed to align with the Learning Forward Standards for Professional Learning, which are recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education. Participants can access Learning Forward publications through The Center Library. As a state-approved professional development provider, ECPL is authorized to grant professional development credit to Illinois licensed educators for license renewal. All workshops and webinars are also approved by the Gateways Registry. ECPL also collaborates with the Illinois Principals Association to provide Administrator Academy webinars on early childhood topics. ECPL can be reached at eclearningil.org.
