Durham ADAPT

Durham ADAPT, short for Durham Center of Innovation to Accelerate Discovery and Practice Transformation (ADAPT), is a VA Center of Innovation (COIN) located in Durham, North Carolina. Founded in 1982, the center employs 9 people and generates $50 million in annual revenue. Durham ADAPT focuses on evidence-based practice transformation within the healthcare industry. Their work aims to optimize healthcare efficiency, cost, and experience for Veterans, contributing to scientific literature that benefits all Americans. The center partners with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Duke University, and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (UNC) to achieve these goals. The center supports fellowship programs and didactic coursework to train the next generation of leaders in health services research.
