Who is DoD Cyber Crime Center
The DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3) is a government entity based in Linthicum, Maryland. Established in 1998 as part of the Department of the Air Force, DC3 is a federal cyber center designated by National Security Presidential Directive 54 / Homeland Security Presidential Directive 23. DC3 offers a range of digital and multimedia forensics, cyber training, technical solutions, and cyber analytics services. DC3's six functional organizations work together to maximize their capabilities. The center serves as the operational focal point for the Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Program (DIB CS Program) and is recognized as a DoD center of excellence for digital and multimedia forensics. DC3 is staffed by approximately 430 personnel, including Department of the Air Force civilians, Air Force and Navy military personnel, and contractors.
