Discovery Center

Discovery Center at Murfree Spring is a non-profit organization located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Center employs 24 people and generates over $10,000 in annual revenue. Discovery Center offers a range of interactive exhibits and programs designed to promote STEAM education for visitors of all ages. Permanent galleries include a mini Farmer's Market, Tiny Town, Clark Maples Train Depot, flight simulator, a two-story Superslide, Water Works, an aquarium with Tennessee water critters, live animals, and an outdoor Nature Play area. The Center also hosts traveling exhibits and educational programs throughout the year. Adjacent to the Center is the Murfree Spring wetlands, featuring an elevated boardwalk for observing wildlife such as ducks, herons, otters, and muskrats. The Lily Pad Pond provides a closer look at tadpoles, minnows, salamanders, and other aquatic creatures. Discovery Center is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $8 for ages 2 and older, and free for members.
