Dawns Place

Dawns Place is a non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With a team of three employees, the organization focuses on providing vital support to survivors of sex trafficking. Dedicated to empowering women recovering from commercial sexual exploitation, Dawns Place offers a 12-month residential program tailored to each resident's unique needs. This program encompasses a range of services designed to foster healing and build a foundation for a brighter future. Residents benefit from trauma-informed therapy, peer mentorship, art and music therapy, mindfulness instruction, and access to healthcare, education, legal assistance, life skills coaching, career training, and nutritional support. Recognizing the interconnectedness of physical and emotional well-being, the organization provides access to a fitness area and connects residents struggling with addiction or mental health issues with intensive outpatient programs. As residents progress through the program, they develop self-sustaining skills, paving the way for drug-free, sober, employed lives marked by independence.
