Court 13

Court 13 is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 2015, the organization employs 29 people and generates $2.5 million in annual revenue. Court 13 focuses on building creative ecosystems for artists and filmmakers in the Gulf South. They achieve this through educational programs and public events that foster multi-disciplinary artistic collaboration. The organization aims to support the economic and cultural development of the community by providing resources and opportunities for artists and filmmakers to create impactful and widely recognized art. Inspired by the success of the film "Beasts of the Southern Wild," which garnered numerous awards and four Oscar nominations, Court 13 was established by writer and director Benh Zeitlin as a way to give back to the community that supported the film's creation.
