Council for American Students in International Negotiations CASIN

The Council for American Students in International Negotiations (CASIN) is a non-profit organization based in New York, New York. With a small team of 3 employees, CASIN is dedicated to fostering engagement and education in international policy. CASIN aims to provide young Americans, including undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, and law school students, as well as young professionals, with opportunities to participate in the international policymaking process. They achieve this through delegations to United Nations bodies, the Assembly of States Parties of the International Criminal Court (ICC), and other international negotiations. Additionally, CASIN uses publications and outreach programs to broaden public understanding of these critical issues. Founded in 2002, CASIN initially focused on advocating for the United States' ratification of the Rome Statute, which established the ICC. Since then, the organization has expanded its scope to encompass a wider range of international policy and justice issues. CASIN actively collaborates with other organizations, holding memberships in the Steering Committee of AMICC and the CICC. They also maintain accreditation to attend meetings of the ICC ASP and hold UN ECOSOC consultative status.
