Cost Assistance for Resilient Engineers CARE is a small student-run organization based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. With a team of three employees, CARE focuses on raising funds to support fellow engineering students facing financial hardships. CARE primarily raises funds for the CARE Scholarship Fund, an endowment maintained by the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering. The organization targets alumni, corporations, current students, and their families through various fundraising initiatives. The CARE Scholarship Fund provides crucial financial support to students who need between $5,000 and $10,000 to continue their studies, often due to unforeseen circumstances like job loss or medical emergencies. CARE aims to establish a $1.5 million endowment, which will generate $67,500 annually in scholarships for deserving students. All donations made to the University of Michigan for the CARE Scholarship Fund are tax-deductible and are gift-receipted by the University of Michigan.
