Cornell Seismic Design

Cornell Seismic Design is a student-led organization based in Ithaca, New York. Comprised of 14 employees, the group offers a platform for Cornell University students interested in engineering, construction, structures, architecture, and seismology. Cornell Seismic Design provides students with the chance to participate in the entire design and construction process for a building project. These projects culminate in an annual competition. Students gain hands-on experience in construction, learn various industry-standard computer programs, utilize a laser cutter, and develop leadership skills. The Cornell Seismic Design Team distinguishes itself through its commitment to providing a comprehensive learning experience that bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and tangible results.
