Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening CEPPS

The Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS) is a nonprofit organization located in Washington, DC. Established in 1995, CEPPS consists of three leading international organizations dedicated to democratic development: the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, the International Republican Institute, and the National Democratic Institute. CEPPS employs 17 individuals. CEPPS provides democracy, rights, and governance programming to USAID and other donors, supporting local partners in over 140 countries across diverse political contexts and geographic regions. Their partners operate field offices throughout Asia, Africa, Eurasia, Europe, Latin America/Caribbean, the Middle East, and North Africa. CEPPS assists partners in all aspects of democratic governance, encompassing civic organizations, political parties, elected bodies, and women’s organizations. A distinguishing feature of CEPPS is its commitment to maintaining long-term relationships with its partners. Unlike many development actors, CEPPS focuses on building enduring connections with political parties, election management bodies, parliaments, civil society organizations, and democracy activists.
