Connecting Generations

Connecting Generations is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Wilmington, Delaware. Founded in 1990 as Creative Grandparents, the organization provides Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs to youth across the state. Connecting Generations employs 24 individuals and generates an annual revenue of $2.5 million. Connecting Generations offers a range of social and emotional learning programs for children. Their Creative Mentoring (CM) initiative provides free mentor training for adults interested in working with youth in Delaware. CM supports over 90 site-based mentoring programs statewide and partners with high school mentoring programs that train students to mentor at local elementary schools. The organization also offers Character Building/SEL Workshops, interactive experiences that teach children five core SEL competencies and the importance of respectful behavior. A unique feature of Connecting Generations is their statewide, free mentor training program. This program is open to any adult interested in mentoring youth, making it a valuable resource for the Delaware community.
