Congressional Chorus

Congressional Chorus is a charity located in Arlington, Virginia. The organization employs between 20 and 49 people and generates over $10,000 in annual revenue. Congressional Chorus is a 100-voice ensemble consisting of soprano, alto, tenor, and bass singers. The chorus specializes in performing a wide range of American music, including commissioned works, contemporary classical pieces, blues, jazz, folk songs, rock, spirituals, Broadway hits, and popular standards. Singers come from diverse professions and reside in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Congressional Chorus is committed to providing affordable music education for all ages and actively engages in community outreach. They welcome new members through open auditions held throughout the year, evaluating candidates based on factors such as intonation, technique, sight reading skills, vocal quality, and prior choral experience.
