Communities In Schools of Greater Wichita Falls Area

Communities In Schools of the Greater Wichita Falls Area is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Wichita Falls, Texas. Founded in 2006, this small organization with four employees generates $2.5 million in annual revenue. CISGWFA is dedicated to supporting student success by connecting them with a network of academic and community resources. The organization offers personalized student management services through its "Stay In School" program. This research-based program focuses on identifying individual student goals and developing tailored strategies to help them achieve academic success. Students are referred to the program by parents, teachers, school staff, or themselves. Site Coordinators, located on each secondary campus within Wichita Falls ISD, work with students on six key components: supportive guidance, academic readiness, health and human services, college and career planning, parent and family involvement, and enrichment.
