Commodity Investing by Students COINS

Commodity Investing by Students (COINS) is a student-run organization based in Blacksburg, Virginia. It is comprised of seven employees and operates as a non-profit. COINS specializes in commodities trading, managing a portfolio of one million dollars from the Virginia Tech endowment. They invest in futures-based ETFs and ETNs across a range of commodities, including agricultural, energy, and metals. Their investment strategies combine technical and fundamental analyses, aiming to outperform the Bloomberg Commodity Index (BCOM). Beyond trading, COINS offers scholarships to its members and facilitates research opportunities with faculty members and industry professionals. They boast a 100% job placement rate for graduates.
