Colorado River Fire

Colorado River Fire Rescue is a Fire Authority based in Rifle, Colorado. Established in 2012, the organization brings together the resources of Burning Mountains Fire Protection District and Rifle Fire Protection District to serve communities in the area. The fire rescue service utilizes a combination of volunteer, part-time, and full-time personnel to provide critical coverage across a service area spanning approximately 851 square miles. Colorado River Fire Rescue offers a range of services, including fire suppression, emergency medical services (EMS), hazardous materials response, and rescue operations. Their comprehensive services benefit the Town of New Castle, the Town of Silt, the City of Rifle, and surrounding areas. The Fire District operates six stations, including four staffed stations, one station staffed through a partnership with Inter-Agency Wildland Firefighters, and one non-staffed station.
