College Tribe

College Tribe is a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC. Founded in 2007, the organization is dedicated to the development of young Black boys. With a team of four employees, College Tribe strives to make a positive impact on the lives of boys in 3rd to 8th grade. The organization offers a range of programs designed to cultivate character, scholarship, and social competence in its participants. College Tribe provides after-school STEM classes in low-income neighborhoods. The organization's core belief is that representation is vital to youth development, and their main program focus involves Black men mentoring Black boys to become STEM leaders. College Tribe's programs aim to empower young Black men to succeed in life through three key initiatives: life, college, and career mentoring; after-school STEM/Arts education; and out-of-school time activities focused on STEM, Arts, and Reading development.
