College to Congress

College to Congress is a nonprofit organization located in Washington, D.C. Founded to address the lack of socioeconomic diversity among Congressional staff, the organization provides full-ride scholarships covering housing, transportation, food, and professional attire to students participating in Congressional internships. The organization's mission centers around providing access to internships, typically reserved for students with financial resources, to students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Each intern is paired with either their hometown representative or a member they align with politically, fostering connections and understanding. Beyond providing financial assistance, College to Congress emphasizes professional and character development. Through leadership workshops and exposure to governing, interns are encouraged to become catalysts for civic engagement in their communities.
