Colby Emergency Response

Colby Emergency Response (CER) is a volunteer organization based in Waterville, Maine, dedicated to providing emergency medical services on and around the Colby College campus. Comprised of eight dedicated individuals, CER is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. CER's primary function is to provide immediate emergency care to patients, ranging from minor injuries to more serious medical situations. They also play a vital role in transferring patients to appropriate medical facilities, ensuring they receive the necessary care. This includes collaborating with on-campus resources like the Garrison-Foster Health Center, as well as external services such as Delta Ambulance, Waterville Fire & EMS, and other medical centers. Beyond immediate response, CER focuses on the professional development of its members. They strive to create opportunities for continuous education and hands-on experience in the field of emergency medical services. This commitment to training ensures their team remains knowledgeable and proficient in the latest Maine and national EMS protocols, enabling them to provide the best possible care in any situation.
