The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services System, headquartered in Austin, Texas. HHSC provides a range of services to qualified Texans, including Medicaid for families and children, long-term care for older adults and individuals with disabilities, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) food benefits, and TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) cash assistance. The agency also offers behavior health services, supports services to help individuals remain in their homes or communities, and provides services for women and people with specialized health needs.
