Cleveland Public Power

Cleveland Public Power is a municipally owned electric utility serving the City of Cleveland, Ohio. It is a division of the City of Cleveland and employs 132 people. Generating approximately $100 million in annual revenue, Cleveland Public Power is recognized as the largest municipally owned electric utility in Ohio and one of the largest in the United States. The company provides electric service to approximately 74,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers within Cleveland. They operate a three-hundred-megawatt system with three 138 kV interconnections, allowing access to the regional electrical power market. This network feeds 36 substations throughout the city, which further distribute electricity at various voltages to ensure reliable service to customers.
