CIVICUS Living and Learning Program

CIVICUS Living and Learning Program is a unique educational initiative located in College Park, Maryland. Operated as part of the University of Maryland's College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, CIVICUS fosters student engagement and civic responsibility. CIVICUS empowers students through a two-year program focused on five core pillars: community service learning, leadership, community building, scholarship, and citizenship. Students participate in volunteer opportunities with non-profit organizations, organize community service projects, and engage in coursework exploring social issues and solutions. Additionally, they can pursue internships aligned with their academic and career goals. The program seeks enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated students eager to contribute positively to both the campus and the wider community.
