Circus Smirkus

Circus Smirkus is a non-profit organization based in Greensboro, Vermont. Founded in 1987, the company employs 37 people. Circus Smirkus is dedicated to promoting the skills, culture, and traditions of the traveling circus while inspiring youth through circus arts. They offer three main programs: the Smirkus Big Top Tour, a summer program where young performers create and rehearse a new circus production for performances throughout New England; Smirkus Camp, the country's only residential circus arts training program offering sessions ranging from one day to two weeks; and Smirkus School Residencies, where trained circus professionals teach circus arts in educational environments. Currently, Circus Smirkus is engaged in a $3.5 million Capital Campaign to construct a permanent summer camp facility.
