Centocor

Centocor is a biotechnology company based in Bedford, New Hampshire. Founded in 1979, the company has grown to employ 657 people and generates over $1 billion in annual revenue. Centocor specializes in the development and marketing of biologic agents, primarily monoclonal antibodies. Their flagship product, Remicade (infliximab), is a treatment for a range of autoimmune diseases including Crohn's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and plaque psoriasis. They also market ReoPro (abciximab), a biologic agent used in conjunction with coronary angioplasty. Since becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson in 1999, Centocor has significantly expanded its operations.
