Center for Urban Transportation Research

The Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) is a research center located in Tampa, Florida. Established in 1988, CUTR is part of the University of South Florida's College of Engineering and employs 66 people. CUTR provides a range of services to policymakers, transportation professionals, and the public, including research, policy analysis, training, and technical assistance. Their expertise spans various transportation modes and focuses on developing innovative, implementable solutions. CUTR's multidisciplinary team of researchers and students combines academic knowledge with practical experience in fields like economics, planning, engineering, public policy, and geography. CUTR is internationally recognized for its work and receives over $19 million annually through contracts and grants to support its research, education, and training initiatives.
