Center for Tire Research

The Center for Tire Research (CenTiRe), based in Blacksburg, Virginia, is a research center operating under the NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center program. As a not-for-profit organization, CenTiRe is focused on conducting leading-edge research in tire and tire-related materials, tire physics, testing, sustainability, and manufacturing. CenTiRe employs a team of 9 individuals and generates annual revenue exceeding $10,000. CenTiRe's research serves the tire, vehicle, materials, and testing industries.
