Center for International Health Education and Biosecurity

The Center for International Health, Education, and Biosecurity (CIheb) is a non-profit organization based in Baltimore, Maryland. The organization employs 16 individuals and generates $500 million in annual revenue. CIheb was founded by the Institute of Human Virology within the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s School of Medicine. CIheb is dedicated to combating infectious and non-communicable diseases in developing countries. They provide technical assistance for healthcare delivery, focusing on HIV/TB prevention, care, and treatment, as well as related infectious and non-communicable diseases. Additionally, CIheb offers training and resources to healthcare professionals, implements quality improvement initiatives, conducts health information and research, and supports outbreak surveillance and biosecurity measures. Their expertise is applied across all levels of the health system, integrating facility- and community-based programming into their initiatives.
