Center for Community Justice

The Center for Community Justice is a not-for-profit organization based in Elkhart, Indiana. With a staff of 20 employees, CCJ is dedicated to providing restorative justice programs within Elkhart County. CCJ offers a range of programs aimed at strengthening community safety and promoting healing for victims, offenders, and the community at large. These include the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (VORP), the Community Service Restitution Program (CSRP), the Victim Impact Panel, the Community Mediation Program, the Student Suspension Program, the Family Mediation Program, and Thinking for a Change Classes. Founded in 1984, CCJ’s mission is to operate effective community-based services rooted in the principles of restorative justice. The organization's programs strive to provide support and compensation for victims, aid in the restoration of offenders, and foster reconciliation among all involved parties.
